 Valentine’s Weekend Carriage Rides ::

 Since we missed First Friday due to the weather, we are going to have Valentine’s Weekend/Second Friday Carriage Rides!

 

What’s more romantic than the two of you snuggled under a blanket in the back of a carriage, listening to the clip-clop of the horse’s feet, and seeing the beautiful buildings of Historic Downtown Bryan. Bring your camera and we’ll be more than happy to take a picture to capture the moment for years to come. If you would like an interactive tour, we can educate you on the history of some of the buildings as well as the magnificent businesses that make up Downtown. If you would prefer a quiet, romantic carriage ride, we’ll be more than happy to provide that as well.

 

Bring your family, friends, and/or date… and your camera! Blankets are on the carriage for the chilly weather.

 

Carriage Rides will be from 6-10pm and begin at the courtyard of the LaSalle Hotel

Twist, our horse, will escort you through the streets of Historic Downtown Bryan. If you have not had the opportunity to visit Historic Downtown Bryan recently, you are missing out! We would like to extend the offer to see the revitalization of Downtown Bryan from the comfort of our horse-drawn carriage. Step back in time and travel the way the regal citizens used to. It is an experience you will remember for a lifetime. Bring your date, your family, and your camera!

The route begins in the lovely Courtyard of the Historic LaSalle Hotel. From there, we travel along Main Street and Bryan Ave., among other roads, to display the magnificent revival of Downtown Bryan. Along our way, we will encounter some historic landmarks such as the LaSalle Hotel, the Carnegie Library, the former Hotel Charles, the Astin Building, the Varisco Building ( the old J.C. Penny’s), the former Woolworth Building, and the former First State Bank building… just to name a few. We are still learning the history of all of these buildings. So, if you have some stories to share, we would love to hear them!
