Daisy (Isabella Dapple Shorthair)
Daisy (aka "Ducky" or "Duck Duck") is an Isabella Dapple Shorthair (minimally dappled). Isabellas is a very rare color. It comes from the dilute gene off of the red gene. I have no clue how I came up with her nicknames of Ducky and Duck Duck, but she loves them and will come running every single time! :) I was there to watch Daisy being born and it's going to be very hard for me to not have her be a part of my life every day. She, too, deserves far more time and attention than I can give her at this time. She deserves to go on walks, explore life, have a backyard, etc. She's excellent with other dogs, cats, children, etc. She is super lovable, snuggly, and loves to give you kisses. She'll sleep with you all night long, cuddled up under the blankets pushed up against you.
Daisy is 4 years old (born in Jan 2006). She is spayed and current on her annual vaccination, but will need her rabies vaccine. She used to be super skinny before she was spayed and now she's a little chunk. So, some weight management for her would do a world of good for her. Her back legs are a little bowed, which is why I kept her. We thought it happened due to the positioning in the womb. Isabellas are notorious for having thinning of the hair, and, unfortunately, Daisy does have some hair thinning. Last I checked there is no Rogaine for Doxies. :)
Doxies don't get much sweeter than Daisy!! I adore her and want her to have a family of her own. She would LOVE exploring the world outside of my house in the woods and she deserves it! If you opt to adopt her, email updates and pictures are a must... maybe I can even visit her or meet you all at the dog park. :)
Here are some recent pictures of Daisy. I can't seem to get a great picture showing the dappling on her head on her ears. I'll keep trying :)
Forgive the red eyes in the next picture. :) You can sort of see the dappling on her left ear in this picture.
Isabellas have BEAUTIFUL eyes!! This picture just doesn't do Daisy's eyes any justice, but I wanted to attempt to capture the color. They are a goldish color on the outside and a blue-lavendar color on the inside of the iris.
